Mits 26A Dash 10 N892SC is a MU-2B-26A with Dash 10 engine conversions. This increases its performance dramatically. It is best suited for trips (stage lengths) of 400 miles or more. This allows us take advantage of its rate of climb to get to higher, more fuel-efficient altitudes. With increased power N892SC cruises at 310 knots (355 MPH) and has a range of more than 1,000 statute miles. It is certified for nine seats, however it is configured for a pilot and six passengers, or two pilots and five passengers. We discourage having more than a total of six people (passengers and crew) to allow plenty of room. This airplane is pressurized which allows operations above much of the weather, and we are able to maintain a maximum cabin altitude of 4,000 to 5,000 feet on all of our flights. An air cycle machine provides a very comfortable cabin environment, both heating and cooling, as required. The aircraft has a pressurized/heated baggage area that is adequate for most trips. There is a larger; non-pressurized area that provides for bulky items if needed. For example three or four sets of golf clubs can be carried in that compartment. Its short field capabilities make it at home on airports of 2,500 feet and longer.
